What does Teshuvah mean?

Teshuvah means repent, confess, cleanse; Turn to the Father!

The lie that the father of lies, Satan, whispers in our ears with great success is that when we have accepted Jesus (Saved), all your sins are instantly washed away, and you can continue living without cleansing by His Blood. Due to many witnesses and Scripture, we have experienced how the Holy Spirit works in you so that His fruit and His works become visible. We fully believe in Jesus' command in His Word: "Confess with your mouth and have repentance in your heart THEN I am faithful and just to cleanse your sins with His precious Blood."

What do we believe?

As Teshuvah family church, we believe:

  • God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Tri-union God-head.

  • The true deity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ – Jesus is fully God and was fully human.

  • The atonement made on the Cross by our Lord Jesus for the sin of the world.  "Amazing Grace"

  • The person of the Holy Spirit as one who sanctifies and who sets apart, empowers and imparts spiritual gifts to the church. We do believe in the fruits and works of the Holy Spirit.

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.

  • Salvation comes ONLY through His amazing GRACE (John.3.16) by faith in Jesus Christ.

  • The immersion of believers as the only scriptural form of baptism. You MUST BE born again through water (Fully wet: Baptizo) and Spirit to see and enter the Kingdom of heaven.

  • Teshuvah believes in the the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. We are looking forward to our Bridegroom who WILL come to meet us in the air, on the clouds, to ESCAPE all things to come. (Luk.21.36)​

​Teshuvah family church's aims and functions are:

  • To glorify God and be an expression of His character and Kingdom in the world. (IN His Name)

  • Frequent praise and worship to The King, fast and pray, sound biblical teaching and fellowship.

  • To encourage partnership as the body of Christ, in the mutual care of each other’s spiritual and physical well-being. We HOPE to live in peace with as much as possible.

  • To engage in the task of mission to the local community, the nation and the world (Matt. 28:19-20)

  • In every possible way, to make disciples of Jesus Christ and bring them into His body, then to GROW in FAITH, by daily repentance (Teshuvah) and growing relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Who is Pastoring Teshuvah

"Born and raised in South Africa, with Afrikaans as my first language, my life took a transformative turn when I embraced the redemption offered by the Blood of the Jesus Christ. I got saved due to His loving GRACE, the precious GIFT from God our Father. This pivotal moment led me to become born again (John.3) to be a new creation in Christ my Lord because WORTHY is the Lamb of God. Married to a loving wife, Liezl with two children as a blessing from above. We are a close-knit family united in our love for Jesus from Nazareth. In January 2019, we relocated to New Zealand, where my passion for Jesus soon led to a home group. As the home group grew and responding to Father-God's call for me to be a shepherd for His sheep, Teshuvah Family Church was born and slowly growing.

My personal aim is to shine His Light in a dark world of lies and deception inside the church-arenas. To help, via the Holy Spirit, to get oil back into the lamps of the foolish virgins. As per numerous Scriptures: Jesus is looking for willing and obedient Christians that chooses NOT be be part of the world but part of His body."
